Walk up beautiful Glen Lednock to the Deil’s Cauldron
(waterfall), a brisk half hour from Mossgiel House and enjoy the
view from Lord Melville’s monument.
Comrie lies on the Highland Boundary Fault and has experienced
earth tremors for many centuries. Visit Earthquake House
built in 1869.
Catch your own trout at Drummond
Trout Farm and Fishery, 1 mile west of Mossgiel House.
Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is two miles from
the village, with bird and animal handling and the Highland Cattle
Centre.
Don’t miss The
Famous Grouse Experience on the outskirts of Crieff.
New Year’s Eve is special in Comrie. The
Flambeaux Procession takes place to drive out evil spirits from
the village. Huge blazing torches are carried through the streets
accompanied by a local pipe band and villagers dressed in fancy
costumes.
Golf courses are plentiful! There is a 9 hole
course in Comrie, and also nearby in St. Fillans, Crieff, Killin
and Muthill. There are two 18 hole courses in Crieff (www.crieffgolf.co.uk

and at Gleneagles (

Watersports, fishing and boat
hire are all available at Loch Earn and cycle
